By the order of the Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askhat Kainarbekov was appointed chairman of the Committee on Forestry and Wildlife of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources.
Askhat Kainarbekov was born Feb. 23, 1975, in Kok-Uzek village of the Sarkand district of Almaty region. In 1997, he graduated from Abay Almaty State University with a degree in law, in 2003 — from Ryskulov Kazakh Economic University with a degree in economics. In 2006, he received a master's degree in business administration from Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 2009, he graduated from Harvard Business School. In 2016, he received a master's degree in public administration in economics from Columbia University.
He began his career in 1998 as a specialist in the Second Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Over the years, he held positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a referent, attache, third secretary, and acting second secretary, and also worked in the commercial sector.
In September 2001, he was appointed deputy akim of Talgar district of Almaty region.
From April 2010 to January 2018, he was deputy akim of Akmola region.
From January 2018, he has worked as a state inspector of the Department of State Control and Organizational and Territorial Work of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
