At the Government session chaired by the Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the measures to fulfill the instructions and tasks given by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev July 15, 2019, at an extended meeting of the Government, were considered.
First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Finance Alikhan Smailov, deputy prime ministers Zhenis Kassymbek and Gulshara Abdykalikova, Chairman of the National Bank Erbolat Dossaev made presentations on their areas.
"The Head of State gave a number of instructions aimed at improving the welfare of the population and the economy as a whole," said the prime minister of Kazakhstan and stressed that "the main task of the Government for the current and prospective period is to improve the quality of life and increase incomes of the population, create new workers places and attracting a new wave of investment.”
All government agencies, national holdings and akimats need to step up work to attract investment. To monitor this work, each state body, holding company and akimat will be set key performance indicators.
The head of the Government noted the need to create new productive jobs, further diversify production in priority sectors of the economy, introduce advanced technologies, deepen processing and increase exports.
“A number of concrete measures will be taken to develop the social sphere. In particular, clear and transparent procedures will be established to provide social support to people in need and uniform approaches will be developed to guarantee the volume of social support for citizens,” said the prime minister said.
In the field of education, an action plan will be developed to ensure full funding of education and science, and work will continue to further reform school and vocational education.
“To attract the population to the formation of budgets, the project “budget of public participation” will be introduced in a pilot mode,” said Mamin.
At the Government meeting, an Action Plan for the Implementation of Head of State’s Instructions was approved.
“The action plan should be fully and efficiently implemented,” the prime minister of Kazakhstan stressed, noting that the Government Project Office will become the main tool for monitoring and facilitating the implementation of instructions and the Presidential electoral platform.
