Today, Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov chaired a meeting of the Republican Trilateral Commission on Social Partnership and Regulation of Social and Labor relationships.
The meeting was attended by heads of central government bodies, deputy akims of regions, as well as representatives of trade union organizations and employers' associations.
Opening the meeting, Yeraly Tugzhanov noted that in the current situation, the issues of preserving jobs, ensuring timely payment of wages and preventing labor conflicts are more relevant than ever. The deputy prime minister emphasized the invaluable contribution of trade unions, representing the interests of both employers and employees. Social partnership is essential for the regulation of labor relations.
The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Birzhan Nurymbetov and deputy akims of the regions reported on the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for the Prevention of Social Tension and the Resolution of Social and Labor Conflicts, as well as on measures to reduce industrial injuries.
At the same time, a draft General Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, republican associations of trade unions and republican associations of employers for 2021-2023 has been submitted for consideration by the Republican Trilateral Commission.
The new agreement is being developed in the context of “decent work” in accordance with the approaches and indicators recommended by the International Labor Organization. The chair of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin made his proposals on this issue.
At the end of the meeting, Yeraly Tugzhanov gave a number of instructions to the central state and local executive bodies, in particular, to intensify the work on concluding memorandums on the stabilization of production processes and ensuring the labor rights of citizens, to strengthen monitoring of the release of workers with the adoption of prompt measures to promote employment, to take effective measures to reduce arrears of wage and social security payments.
